Safe Inheritance
When my dad brought that woman home once I already knew we were not going to be friends. It was doubly hard when my father decided to marry her.
I have accepted my mother’s death for some years now, I was still in college when she passed away, but I never imagined my dad marrying a gold-digger. She kept on asking money from my father and buying the most random things; she shopped a lot too.
As the eldest child, my mom left me the responsibility to take care of my three (3) younger siblings. I was more than determined to fulfill my promise to her, so I dug out her jewelry inheritance to us. Three months after my dad’s second marriage I decided to sell gold and sell diamond jewelry, those that my mother left of us. I’d rather have the money and distribute it than have my stepmother discover them and keep it for herself.
Finding a way to sell it quickly and at a fair price wasn’t easy but I did find one in Florida. They properly rated my jewelry and paid me the right price, much higher than the other companies I asked before them.
I have already opened new bank accounts for my sister and brothers. At least now I am at peace that even with that gold digger in our house, my siblings have a positive future ahead of them.
