The last time that I had to install a used cisco firewall, was about five years ago. The guy that I put it in for has told me many times that it was one of the best investments that he has ever made. I remember that he bought it from a cisco repair shop that was going out of business and selling off all of their stock.

I can remember the day that he told me he had bought the used cisco firewall for twenty dollars. I was expecting it to be a piece of crap but instead it was practically brand new. The cisco repair shop used to put in new equipment for companies that did not care about what happened to the old stuff. The cisco repair shop would take out the old equipment and then test it to see if it was good or not and resell it in their store to the public or other repairman.

I wish that I would have been able to get my hands on some of the used cisco stock that the repair shop had before they sold it all. I would have been willing to give them double the price for whatever they were charging.
