When my husband started paying all the bills, he thought that our car insurance premium was too high. He did not understand how two older adults with two very safe cars, could be paying so much money. I told him that our neighbor, who was our insurance agent, assured me that this was the best rate he could get us.

My husband started checking out some car insurance companies online and even got a few quotes from some of them. He found rates for us that were about half the cost that we were paying with our current company. I told him that if we changed our car insurance that our neighbor would be very upset with us and I did not want to have to deal with that every time I saw him.

So, we decided to print out the quotes from the car insurance companies who had given us a better deal, and take it into our neighbor’s office the next day. After showing him the car insurance rates that we had, and looking over the premium he offered us, he had no choice but to match the other rates.

I am happy that we got to stay with our neighbor as our car insurance agent and we are saving a ton of money every year now too.
