My sister and I had decided to go into business selling our handmade handbags. We had been making handbags for ourselves since we were little girls. We have had several people tell us that we should sell them, but had finally just decided to open a shop and do just that.

I knew that we had just enough money between the two of us to put down a small down payment on a commercial mortgage loan. I contacted a commercial mortgage broker to see what kind of mortgage rates we would be looking at.

When my commercial mortgage broker called back to discuss the mortgages rates and the amount of money that we thought we would need, I was very optimistic that it would be easier to obtain the loan than my sister and I had originally thought it would be.

We found a very cute shop that was for sale right in the middle of the art district. It was within our price range and we knew that it was the shop for us. We applied for the commercial mortgage and put down a little extra money, to try for a better mortgage rate.

We were approved in about two weeks time and have been selling our handbags ever since from our beautiful shop that we own together. The shop has become an overnight success; we sell about fifty to a hundred handbags a day.
