I was looking online for a company that would make me a photo puzzle 1000 pcs in it. I wanted to get this picture of my grandma made into one of those personalized puzzles. Her eightieth birthday was coming up and we were planning a big surprise party for her. I figured that if I got the photo puzzle 1000 pieces then everyone at the party could help to put it together. I had chosen to use one of her grade school photos for the personalized puzzle and the invitations.

I had to call my great uncle to get the photo without her knowing, since I did not have any. My great uncle loved the idea, and of course found the cutest photo that he had. I had the invitations made from a local print shop and put them in the mail about three months before the surprise party. I wanted as many people to be there to help do the photo puzzle 1000 pcs in it.

The day of the party, my grandma was so surprised to see all of her friends and family gathered in one place to help her celebrate. We had a great time putting together the puzzle. Everyone kept asking me where they could get personalized puzzles for their parties.
