Driving under the influence of alcohol involves high level of danger. A driver with high level of blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is at extreme risk of fatal vehicle accident. Such person not only put himself at stake but also becomes a sign of danger for other travelers. Drivers who have had alcohol drinking often fail to concentrate on their driving route due to uncontrolled nerves and become a reason of major accidents.

Every accident or injury due to drunk driving is possible to hinder. However, there is a significant decrease in drunk-driving accident cases due to strict regulation laws and media based preventing information. Driving under the influence of alcohol is still a serious social problem.

There are many possible measures to stop such fatal incidents such as establishment of DWI courts, debarment of driving license of drunk drivers, seizing the vehicle number plates by authority, prohibition on vehicle movements for a certain period, huge monetary and confinement of drunk drivers in jail etc.

Mass media should play their role in creating awareness among drivers regarding the danger of drinking Alcohol & Driving. Driving license issuing authority should also organize seminars and training workshops to educate drivers. It is also a social responsibility of every citizen to not only care for themselves but also take care of others by decreasing the consumption of alcohol dinks. The drunk drivers should be punished strictly to discourage the drinking habits. Only by following driving rules completely, we can prevent accident injuries and crashes.
